Milkshake

Our most recent rescue, Milkshake, is a gentle soul with a pure white feathers, which differs from the desired black and white coloring of Ancona breeders. Upon her arrival, we discovered that she was suffering from bumblefoot, a condition caused by a small cut on the foot that becomes infected with bacteria. Often, this condition goes unnoticed until the affected bird begins to limp, but Milkshake showed no signs of discomfort. After receiving treatment, she was introduced to the pond with the other ducks, although she seems to prefer splashing around in the water bowls with her chicken companions.
