Our Team

Rose Rhoades

Having been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, the dream of owning my own farm has always been a driving force in my life. After much hard work and dedication, that dream has finally become a reality. Each morning, I take great pleasure in tending to my animals - checking on their well-being, preparing their meals complete with necessary medications and supplements, and ensuring they are safe and secure for the day ahead. However, the highlight of my day comes when I return home, wrap myself in a cozy blanket, and unwind in the pasture alongside my beloved animals. Lottie, in particular, never fails to greet me with enthusiasm, eager for a snuggle.

Montana Rhoades

Affectionately called Junior, because we are so much alike. Montana gives everything she’s got to the cause of rescuing animals. She assists with the cleaning, wellness checks, and does the minor surgeries we sometimes need to do that doesn’t require a veterinarians services. You’ll often find her with her rooster Payton or laying on a blanket surrounded by animals. It’s our favorite thing to do.

Dan Rhoades

I couldn’t do this life without my man Dan. Married to each other for 36 years, he is my rock. He does the afternoon feeding of all the animals. He is also there to help with maintenance, repair and the overall help with the animals. Despite his upbringing in the city with limited exposure to farm life and animal rescue, Dan has embraced our mission wholeheartedly. His willingness to adapt as well as his commitment to our cause make him an indispensable partner in our shared journey.

Teagan Rhoades

Upon discovering an allergy to dogs, Teagan wholeheartedly embraced the world of feline companionship. In 2016, following graduation from grad school, two rescue cats were welcomed into Teagan’s life. Unfortunately, due to health concerns, Teagan made the decision to return home and reunite with our family. To ensure all of our beloved cats can enjoy the outdoors safely, we have constructed a couple of enclosed patios, known as catios, attached to the house. Teagan is passionate for animal rescue and wholeheartedly supports the cause. The ultimate aspiration is to create a large, expansive catio to complement the smaller ones already in place.
